Why a Custom ROM

Samsung's stock ROM (One UI) is designed for regular users — not for running a phone farm around the clock. The result is a pile of small annoyances:

• Bloatware everywhere — Samsung apps, Bixby, Game Launcher, Galaxy Store, Knox, Smart Switch — all eating RAM and running in the background.
• One UI uses 2-3GB of RAM before you've even opened anything — a 4GB phone has almost nothing left.
• ADB authorization disappears after every reboot — you have to tap the “Allow USB debugging” popup on the device every single time.
• Aggressive battery optimization kills your automation in the background.
• Forced OTA updates — sometimes the update wipes root and you have to redo everything.

• Knox removed — useless for farm work and eats resources. (Knox is Samsung's security layer for enterprise stuff we don't need.)
• One UI launcher gone — replaced with a minimal launcher that opens 3-5x faster.
• Only the system, Google services, and the apps you actually use remain

Result: idle RAM drops from 2.5-3GB down to 800MB-1.2GB — you essentially double the RAM available for automation.

2. Fast — Kernel and Scheduler Tuned for Phone-Farm Work

• Kernel patches that cut wake-up delay — apps open 30-40% faster than on stock.
• Pointless animations turned off — UI feels instant.
• CPU governor tuned for stability — no thermal throttling during long continuous runs. (Governor is the thing that decides how fast the CPU runs at any moment.)
• I/O scheduler optimized for many things running at the same time.

3. No ADB Key Hassle — Real Plug-and-Play

This is the single most important feature for anyone running a phone farm.

On stock ROM: every time adb connects from a new PC, you have to walk over and tap the popup on the phone to authorize the key. 100 phones = 100 trips to the rack.

• How many times the device reboots — no popup to re-tap
• You switch to a different host PC — just keeps working
• Power cut and the device auto-reboots — back to 100% ready
